What is least-cost feed formulation?
Least-cost feed formulation is an important
sub-problem within the broader and more general problem of profit maximization.
The practice of least-cost feed formulation consists
of combining many feed ingredients in a certain proportion to provide the target
animal with a balanced nutritional feed at the least possible cost. As
such, it requires the professional knowledge of animal nutritionists who take
into consideration the nutrient requirements of the target animal and its
capability to digest and assimilate nutrients from various, available
ingredients
Nutritionists also need to be aware of the
variations of nutritional requirements for different species at various stages
of their lifespan. It is important to keep in mind that Feedsoft® runs on data
that have been entered into it by the user. The final feed formula will only be
as accurate as the initial information that was input by the user.

How do I download and install the Trial version on my computer?
You can download the Trial version of Feedsoft ® through our downloads page.
- 64MB of Random Access Memory (RAM) recommended, 32MB minimum.
Pentium® II 300 MHz recommended, Pentium® 100 MHz processor minimum.

What are the limitations of the Trial Version of Feedsoft®?
- Each trial version expires after 30 days from installation.
- Any data that you enter into the trial version of Feedsoft® will be reset each time you start the program.
- Data cannot be saved in the trial versions of Feedsoft®. Upon purchase of any Feedsoft® edition, your version
will be fully functional and active.
If I purchase a license, in how many computers can I use Feedsoft®?
Feedsoft®'s software license grants you the rights to install and activate Feedsoft® on a total of two computers
(your PC and a laptop for example). To activate the software please follow the directions given on the Welcome
window that appears when you run Feedsoft®.
Do you offer support?
Yes, with the purchase of any Feedsoft ® product, you will receive a 1 year subscription of
Feedsoft ®’s Premium Customer Support.
